Reef Effect Tip

Encrusting Hydnophora is an aggressive coral capable of extending powerful stinging mesenterial filaments that can severely damage neighboring corals. Give this coral plenty of space! We recommend placing it on an isolated rock or in an area where its growth can be controlled without coming into contact with other corals.

Provide moderate to high lighting, strong but indirect water movement, and stable calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels to encourage healthy growth and vibrant coloration.

Important: Hydnophora can be extremely aggressive toward neighboring corals. Maintain generous spacing and monitor its growth regularly to prevent coral warfare.

Light up your reef with Encrusting Hydnophora from Reef Effect — brilliant fluorescence, incredible texture, and bold SPS beauty!

Please Note: Coral coloration, size, and appearance may vary depending on lighting, water flow, and aquarium conditions. Corals may appear retracted or less colorful during shipping and may require time to fully acclimate and regain their normal appearance.
